Architectural Finish: A polymer-modified, Portland cement based repair material designed
to provide a smooth finish to tilt-up wall panels, and pre-cast or poured concrete and masonry
surfaces from feather edge to 1/4-inch thickness.
Countertop Mix and Colorants: A self-consolidating, high-strength concrete mix specially
designed for cast-in-place and pre-cast concrete countertop applications with 25 base color options.
FastSet™ Polymer Modified Structural Concrete - Extended Set: A rapid-hardening, high
early strength concrete designed for use with a ready mix truck or a mobile mixer and comes
in 3,000-pound bulk bags. With an extended working time of 60 minutes, the material allows
additional time to place larger batches of product.
Fiber-Reinforced Deck Mix: An air-entrained, normal-setting, fiber-reinforced material
designed to repair highways, bridge decks, concrete parking decks, balconies and other
concrete surfaces as a patching material for commercial applications. Also available
in a polymer-modified version.
Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain: A low-gloss finishing stain, available in 29 base color
options, that accents the unique variations in concrete exterior surfaces and interior floors.
Besides the convention, The QUIKRETE® Companies once again partnered with the Masonry
Contractors Association of America (MCAA) for the Fastest Trowel on the Block Competition
and International Masonry Skills Challenge. This was the first time the competitions
were held in conjunction with the World of Concrete. With a grand prize of $7,000,
the Fastest Trowel contest pitted masons against one another to test their troweling
abilities based upon both speed and craftsmanship. The Skills Challenge showcased the
best apprentices in the industry with participants competing at first-, second- and
third-year skill levels.
