Self-Consolidating Grout

A recent code change by the Masonry Standards Joint Committee has allowed Self-Consolidating Grout (SCG) to be used in placements higher than 5 feet but lower than 12’-8” in masonry walls, without the need for external vibration. SCG allows for a complete placement through congested reinforcement. SCG are highly fluid and stable offering increased lift heights (over conventional grouting), greater productivity, better bond to reinforced steel, and even aggregate distribution (without segregation) with no bleed water.
